Because faculty must attain a certain level of technological proficiency in their
chosen DE method of delivery, colleges should provide the best possible training
and technical support on a regular and ongoing basis, and made available in a variety
of ways. Faculty members should play an integral role through policy and governance
bodies, as well as through contract language, in determining the hardware,
software, course management systems to be utilized in DE courses. If a bargaining unit is
unable to achieve contract language, policy language should be pursued. |
